My mother and stepfather both had a love of Nature and together they tended the Umpqua River Lighthouse for many summers. Located in Oregon where the Umpqua River empties into the Pacific Ocean, Ken gave tours of the lighthouse and Gail, my Mom, ran the small souvenir shop. Ken passed recently to join my Mother somewhere on the other side. The featured image, "A River They Shared" revisits the place, imagining seeing things through their eyes.
